I introduce my classroom management plan to my students after I lectured on leadership and teamwork. Last year, I implemented a management plan with my students and they responded great. This, year I presented my ten minute powerpoint presentation that was created during NTI prior to my lecture and my students were really excited to help within the classroom.

The first couple of weeks has been great. Attending NTI this summer afforded me several different teaching strategies in my classroom. I have implemented the Personnel Organization Chart for the student in my Culinary Arts classes. Having students held accountable for thier respective position for the classroom, will minimize some behavioral issues and create organization within the classroom.

I have been in the classroom for 3 weeks now and things are running smoothly. I have implemented the homework bin..."place all assignments in the bin before class starts". I have also started using cartoon clips or video clips for my set inductions. I am still working out the kinks on that one. I have my classroom rules and procedures on the wall and visible.
I am glad I decided to enroll in the Ga. State NTI program!
Thanks Dr. J and Dr. M

I introduced the set induction to each of my classes. It enables me to get the students engaged right at the beginning of class. This activity works wonders to calm the students down and it sets the tone for the rest of the class

School has been in session for two weeks. I have implemented the Personnel Organization chart. I have also revamped my lesson plans to incorporate the new text. Also, I have implemented a few new teaching styles to minimize behavior issues and encourage more engagement.

Although I have not been in class yet I plan on using several of the lessons from summer class. I will use the Classroom Procedures that I developed. This will help a lot because they are printed on the board and can be displayed for a constant reminder. The LP's will also work great. I love the format because it makes me accountable for each minute. The time keeper will keep a watch of time.

I introduced my new classroom and lab rules to my classes. I introducted both sets of rules in a PowerPoint with an examples to go along with each slide. I am so excited to not take valuable instructional time dealing with classroom rule infractions.

After securring a position, I will implement the first day of school approach, by introducing myself and giving a brief background, making sure the students are in the correct classroom, going over the course syllabus, and interating the classroom rules.

Did I do it?
