NTI Helped

Teaching at the technical high school this year has presented some serious challenges. Our school is undergoing major renovations, and for that reason we have all been moved into trailers. At NTI this summer I learned how to be more organized. This helped me because I came in the first day with everything all planned out. I used PowerPoint slides and was able to fill the days up with activities. I feel I made a better impression to the students that want to learn, and the ones that didn't left because they knew they had a teacher that was prepared, and therefore they were gonna have to be prepared. I feel more confident this year than last, and I am confident that I will have a good year. This was not the case last year.

I hope I get the same prepared feeling from this course that you seem to have. I am new to the course and just joined for Fall. I will continue through next summer. Maybe I can feel a little more prepared next school year beginning. I feel prepared, but there is definitely some areas in which I lack enough preparation for.

I agree NTI made me more organized and the kids notice. Today one of them said, she wants to see my house because she knows everything in my house has a place because I'm so organized.
