Had a meeting about IEPs on Monday and could not be in class. I was disappointed. What a far cry from when I was informed that I would have to take this class. I would never have taken NTI voluntarily but what would I have done without it? Teaching would have been little more than a frustrating chore. It was only last summer but it seems like a lifetime ago in terms of my teaching career. Do others feel like I do?
How do you thank Dr. Burns and Ms. Hayden adequately?

We missed you in class tonight.I'm the same way. I didn't want to go to NTI ,but it sure has HELPED WITH TEACHING,not only from the Instructors but also from learning and talking to the other new teachers about their experiances and insights on what's happening on a day to day basis.

I think we were all a little upset about the idea of taking this NTI class. The cost, the time and the work involved was unthinkable. However, life with NTI could not have been managable. This has made life as a teacher bearable.
My sentiments exactly!!!..
Maybe we all can chip in and take them on a NTI Alumni cruise...wow, wouldn't that be fun??? let's see how they party outside the classroom...LOL..LOL

I feel the same. I am glad that I was able to take NTI, and I am thankful for Jessie and Dr. Burns.
I have learned so much. They are truly examples of the type of teacher that I want to become.
I somehow think that they would be happy if we just put forth all the effort that we can and when we get into a bind just call them for advice.
