Rules For Posting To This Blog and Weekly Blog Question

1. Only use your first name (no last names, addresses, IM screen names, etc.)

Week of Vacation

Like many others, I have enjoyed an entire week of vacation. I was very glad to have the break to sleep and enjoy myself.

I am looking forward to getting back next week and finishing the semester with my students. I actually began to miss them around Thursday.

Holidays

Hi everyone! It's almost break time! I survived my first blood drive. It was quite a learning experience. the HOSA kids had a great time! We came short of our goal, but overall it was a good experience. We will repeat the drive again. Everyday is a continuous learning experience. The parent - teacher conferences are getting a bit easier. I found out my principal will be evaluating me. I'm not really sure what to expect. Hoping it will go like our evaluations at GSU. All I know is that it will be unannounced. 3 more days until break.

One week until next break

I am really ready for this next break. It has been so crazy this last few weeks. I feel so overwhelmed. Tomorrow is my next observation with Dr. Burns. I get so nervous being observed. I don't know why because I am observed everyday by my students and I am sure they have many comments about my teaching abilities. I don't want to hear what they are. I will just pretend that they all think I'm great. Ha! Ha! I really cannot believe how fast this year has gone by. Soon, we will be celebrating New Years. This week is HOSA week and my students are excited. I hope this week is successful. I am trying to let the students run things. It is so hard not to try to control everything. They are doing a good job. I need to step back and let them run with it. I wish all of you a good week.

Fall Break

Man, this fall break just isn't long enough! I have several of last years graduated students that have the same interest as I do (Racing, ATV's, IE) and I meet up with them from time to time at the dragstrip or motocross track and hang out for the day. Is this wrong or unethical to do such a thing? I know Ive heard of this "cant be your friend" stuff, but is there any exception to this?

This week

I'm on vacation this week from school. You are supposed to rest during break but I find myself more and more exhausted!
It's been a busy week so far full of doctor and dentist appointments. I've also been cleaning house like a fiend and trying to spend LOTS of time with my kids. It's been great so far!!
I need to work on some stuff for school (both work and GSU) but I just can't find the inspiration this week. I guess I need the week off to just decompress.
As far as Saturday goes, I really enjoyed the presentations! I do want to know how the League of Extraordinary Gentleman made that set induction! I would LOVE to do something like this for my students. If anyone can teach me how, I would be in debt to you for some time.
As far as the funnest (is that a word?) part of the week, HOCKEY SEASON OFFICIALLY OPENS ON FRIDAY!! Steven, I'll be there...just don't know where I'm sitting yet. I can hardly wait!!

Time Off

This is our week of Fall Break. It is so wonderful to have the time off! I truly LOVE our year round calendar. It is so nice to have a week off about every 6 or 7 weeks. Just about the time you think you are going to collapse from being so tired, we get a break.

Even though my house is a disaster area and I don't know if I will ever get it cleaned up, it is still nice to be home in the middle of the mess. The weather is so beautiful outside til I am having real difficulty staying inside. All I want to do is sit on the front porch or the back deck and drink a good cup of coffee in the mornings and iced tea in the afternoons. I can't seem to MAKE myself get in here and do any work.

It's good to be a bum sometimes! :)

rest well desired

This will be very short and sweet. Have done my best this week not to think about school. I will work on lesson plans and homework Sunday and Monday, because with all the pressure and stress have had this year any time off is much deserved and needed.Hope all who had Fall Break are enjoying and relaxing. Got to go cause "it's five O'clock Somewhere".
