Of everything I did this week, I would definitely redo the way I introduced a topic to my 1st period class. I always feel bad for my first period because they are kind of like my guinea pigs. I think I have everything perfectly planned for my Introduction class but then I realize once I begin teaching them that I am still a bit disorganized, or my thoughts are at least. I always figure out AFTER 1st period what the best way to present the information to the class is. When I introduced the topic of a cover letter today, I didn't realize the best way to explain it or go over the information until AFTER 1st period. Poor 1st period.
I have to chuckle a little when I see this. I tell my first period ALL the time, they are prototypes, NOT the "real deal" simply because I like you, get BETTER as the day progresses. Hang in there, EACH new year will be better, too! I'm sure you're doing a GREAT job!! :0)
