Good Evening Everyone. Hopefully everyone is off to an fantastic start. Especially since spending the majority of the summer in class at NTI. I am looking forward to getting back in the classroom and using the knowledge that was gained this summer in our program. I am also happy to have the opportunity to inspire students to reach and obtain goals that will stretch them in life. The information that I acquired this summer will indeed transform me into a better teacher. I feel as though I am equip with the necessary tools to be successful in the classroom. I appreciate the opportunity of being involved in a cohort that is awesome. I look forward in continuing this program with you all.
Sincerely,
Maliki
Hi, I think that our classmates would agree that this summer was challenging and fun. We learned so much. Of course, I can not speak for everyone, but NTI Summer Class 2011, opened my eyes to the world teaching. I think that with the strategies we learned and implementation of these strategies will make a huge difference in the way we teach. My main concern is for the students to learn and thus, be successful in school and future endeavors. NTI taught numerous strategies that will empower us to be successful. I plan to implement them and it is obvious you will as well. Good luck to you and our entire class!

Hi everyone! I am so super excited about this school year. I have done the complete opposite of just about everything I did last year. I stuck with my classroom procedures and expectations and It really worked. I can't believe that when the bell rings none of the students jump up and run out. Instead, they look at me and wait until i say, "You all are dismissed!" Another big help was having a classroom manager. The students are so excited about having responsibilities. This past summer has helped me tremendously! I feel more confident, I have even been giving ideas to the veteran teachers. If i could say one other big thing that I noticed that my students are retaining more, learning is fun! I am excited about this year and many more.
ReplyDeleteI miss you all and I still think of all the lectures we did with a behavior problem waiting to see which one will I see?! :)
