Open Mic (Jan)

Do you ever feel like you are sinking in a hole and things keep getting piled on top of you? Well, that has been my week. My unexpected absence last week has pushed everything to this week. There have been department meetings, faculty meetings, observations, test to be given, papers to be graded, lessons to plan. Not to mention wedding preparations, homecoming dress shopping, laundry, dishes, etc., etc., all in four days!! I am exhausted mentally and physically. The pinnacle of my emotional stress hit me the other day when my son moved out pending his wedding on Saturday. I thought I was ready. I was wrong! Savor the moments that you have with your children they grow up way too fast! Work will be there tomorrow and I will eventually dig my way out of that hole, but this weekend, it is all about my family!!
