Fighting for Perkins

CTAE Teachers should fight for Perkins Funding to ensure that their programs will survive for the sake of the students enrolled. Perkins is the largest source of funding for secondary and post-secondary schools. Without funding, systems would be unable to build and supply the labs that we work in daily. These labs serve to expose students to the many career opportunities and influence their decisions concerning which post-secondary schools they will attend. As CTAE Teachers, we can make sure that our students are exposed to all post-secondary opportunities available to them and make sure that they graduate with the skill set and work ethics to enter the work force.
