What was the event that most took me surprise this week - and event that shook me up, caught me off guard, gave me a jolt, or made me unexpectedly happy?

It is hard to take me by surprise because you never know what is going to happen at our school on a daily basis. If I had to name a situation I would have to say that there is this particular student that I am always trying to help stay out of trouble. So the other day he is coming into my class with a look on his face that was very sad. I asked him what the problem was and he stated that the school police would be coming to my classroom to lock him up for getting into an altercation with another student. He claimed it was something that could not be avoided. So I explained him that it can always be avoided especially if it involves going to jail. Ten minutes later he was getting locked up in the front of my classroom. I was very unhappy about that.
