I would have to say that this week has been a challenge. However, I was able to learn from it, but one thing that I would have changed the way I do things is how I handle my discipline. I want to make sure that I am on point and are not stopping my lesson for anyone and handle the situation differently.

A. B., teaching, in my opinion, requires us to remain flexible in that our plans, and students can change at any given moment, and without a moment's notice. My suggestion Is that you not only develop a workable behavior plan, reiterate those expectations and consequences, and most importantly, follow through. I do not recommend stopping instruction for the whole class for the misbehavior of one student. By doing so, you are giving the misbehaving student exactly what he/she wants, attention. Maybe you can try asking that student to stand out in the hallway to calm down, and wait to be addressed by you before they regain admittance into the room. Just a suggestion.
