One thing I would have done differently:
This last week was the first time my AVTF I class used cameras. I used the "I do" "We do" "You do" method in showing them how to properly set up and break down the equipment. After showing them how to perform the task, we left the room to spread out and the students performed the task. They actually did a good job working with their partner to get the cameras up and running, but we did not have enough time for them to completely finish the "You do" part of the class. I wish I had used my time more wisely to make sure the kids had enough time to try it out on their own.
that's okay. you can split this into two lessons. with a good opening and closing transfer you will be fine.
ReplyDeleteThat's something that I often run into we spend so much time on going over what we are to do and then we demonstrating that we have very little time to practice it in the shop. Like DR.Burns said I try and continue the lesson the next day.
ReplyDeleteHey, we both post about time management this week. I guess time can get away from us during the week especially with having so much to do during the day and week. I know I will be managing my time a lot better in the next coming weeks of school.
