"What is the most important thing I have learned about teaching and learning?"

The most important thing I have learned about teaching and learning is that is must be a passion. I always thought teaching was easy and could be easily mastered. Boy, was I wrong! There is an art to this profession and one must possess the desire to teach and learn. I thought was just going to roll in and perfect this thing and it didn't happen like that. I am very knowledgeable of the pathway, but it is not that simple. The good thing is that this is what I want to do and I have the passion of seeing young adults be successful and learn. I am also learning at the same time as teaching and it has helped me become better by the day. I have the desire to be an impact on every student I come in contact with, whether they are in my class or not. I have learned that teaching is not for everyone and those that do not have the passion for this profession should find something else to do. Our kids don't deserve to suffer!!
