SkillsUSA competitions

This is was our first year trying to compete in SkillsUSA and we learned a lot. Unfortunately, we were unable to go to the State competitions due to funds and we didn’t do well in the regions competitions. But as I mentioned we learned a lot from these experiences and next school year should be a different story. We now know what to expect in the Regions competition and we are starting a few fundraisers this school to help build up our funds for next year’s State competitions. If anyone went to the State competition could you help us out and give us some information on what to expect, we would really appreciate that.

  1. Emmanuel,
Although my class has not competed in any of the Skills USA challenges, I anticipate whenever we do compete our experience will be like yours. I think it's all about building a foundation and finding out what worked and what will work. Starting the fundraising is a good idea because obviously you can't go anywhere without any money. I commend you on your efforts and I anticipate that you will be at the state level of competition based on your efforts!

  2. Mr. C we are gonna knock SKILLS outta the park next year. I enjoying SKILLS more than teaching. It is so rewarding! I love those kids, they have the most potential and best attitude of any kids, from anywhere i have ever seen. These kids we are dealing with in Skills are our future and they are workers. They will do any fundraiser we ask. They will work harder than any kids i have seen.
