I love my job

I truly love my job. Teaching has certainly been a life changing experience for myself and my students. I began teaching with a "save the world" attitude, which is befitting since I'm also a paramedic. However, I often felt drained after an eight hour day of counseling,encouraging, disciplining, inspiring and of course teaching my heart out. Fortunately, the strategies I learned in NTI have equipped me with the organizational skills and planning that make it easy to teach. Yes I said easy! I am in love with my lesson plans soley because I was forced to work hard and ensure standards based learning was engaging. Who would have thought something as simple as a set induction could bring so much life to a lecture. I believe growth is a process that never ends, and thus am exciting about what seeds NTI will plant this fall.
