Excited

This is my third year teaching. My first year I have to admit, it wasn't at all like I pictured it would be. I had problems with overall classroom management. I had no lesson plans. I knew different things I wanted to teach my students but how to put it together to where they were engaged the entire class period was an entirely different story. This year I have learned from my mistakes. I don' t spend as much time on discipline as I did in my first two years but that is still an ongoing problem. For the most, part I have a great deal of kids who have their own agendas and I could'nt change their minds unless Jesus himself was observing me in the corner. I have managed to get a pretty large group to buy in to what we are doing. A majority of what I am teaching, most kids don't get to see until college so if they get it now, they should do very well at the next level. That is what excites me.
