The most important thing
The most important thing I've learned about my students this semester when it comes time to step up to the plate to support the teacher they will! This has amazed me all year. Every time that there was a need from the students to help or support me in a project they were always there. The same group that I wanted to choke one minute was saving the bacon the next. The bacon reference is appropriate for public safety, if you know what I mean.
Scott, my post was about something negative as far as what I learned about my students. You have found something positive about them. You are right. Whenever I needed them to do something or for them to help me complete something, they were right there. I have also found that they are very creative and more intelligent they what they express or show. All of them have different gifts and talents. Some are better at certain things than others. Some are the definate leaders. As stated, you found a positive, and I am dealing with the perils of dealing with their behavior. Teaching is definately a learning experience, both positively and negatively. We have to just hang in there and keep pressing on. Stay encouraged.
ReplyDeleteScott - very true and just too funny!
