Open mic 10-16

Hi ever one.
I was wounding if any of you have had a student walk out of your class? Well I did and it was not a good thing the student would not do anything I ask he would only work on thing that he wonted to so how would you handle this? I have tyred to talk to him that work for a day but it just was not naff to keep him on task. if you have any thing to say about that let me know.

  1. Hi, Dan - did you turn the student in for skipping? Other students will be watching to see what happens to him so make sure discipline consequences come his way. He should be disciplined for skipping and for defying your authority by walking out on you.

    It also sounds like parent conference time with counselor and administrator present as well. If he is in your class he should be doing his assigned work just as he would have to in any other class. Why did he say he walked out?

  2. Hi Dan,
    I hope you remember that that you must notify administration immediately when a student walks out of class. You are responsible for that student and if anything happened to him and you had not reported he had left your class without your permission the consequences for you would not be good. Remember back to our web module on legal issues. Dr. J.
