I would advice the new teacher to follow the rules. Here are the important rules, come to work on time, complete all reports before the deadline, Turn in lesson plan before 3:15 P.M. Friday,
complete all extra duties, teach the Georgia standards and learn classroom management.
I agree with you Patricia, following the rules will make life easier. Also being true to yourself and knowing why you are teaching in the first place is very helpful. I have to remind myself that I am teaching because I want to expose young men and women to the healthcare field. Keeping focused helps on those days when things don't quite go the way you think they should and to realize, "Oh well I have tomorrow to try something different."
