Ready for the next break

I just came off of fall break and I am so ready for the next one. I am really going to think twice next year about extended day. Six classes and no planning is really taking its toll on me.

This has been a short week, but I have found myself looking at the calendar and counting down to the next break. Then we get a short notice that we have middle schoolers coming for a tour as well as the committee with high schools that work. We didn't make AYP, so now we are on the list and everyone has suggestions of what needs to be done. They are more of a disruption than anything. Okay, that's my vent for this week.

  1. I am turning green. we don't get a break until thanksgiving. I can see how your schedule would be great because you get a break and time to prepare for the next 6 weeks. enjoy

  2. I am jealous as well. We don't get a break until thanksgiving as well. Are you ever in school or does Clayton County enjoy giving breaks rather than classroom instruction!!!! Just kidding!!!!!!!!!! See you soon and enjoy your break!!

  3. All we have is IN-SERVICE day today, nothing else until thanksgiving. But I'll tell you, this one day without the kids will help tremendously in getting caught up. On the other issue, I'm thinking about something my Father did at a job that he had years ago. They had an efficiency program where you made suggestions to help improve things around the plant. If they used your suggestion then they would give you a savings bond. I'm going to start giving more imput around here myself. Like you said, there is too much extra stuff. I'ts like pork-barrel spending. I think a lot of it is poorly planned. I'ts creating more work than it needs too. Let's get involved in the solution process! After all we're students in the NTI program!
