Jennifer is coming to observe me on Monday. I've been OK with it until today. And now all of a sudden I am getting very nervous about it. What if I mess up? What if my lesson plan stinks?
I was not nervous at all but now I am.......
Say a prayer for me!

I'm sure you'll have a pleasant site observation with Jennifer. We're here to support you, not frighten or intimidate you. No worries.
ReplyDeleteConnie, You are a wonderful teacher. You will do great! I'll pray for you. Please pray for me too. I will be next after you. Ha! HA!

Connie,
ReplyDeleteI had my observation on yesterday with Jennifer. Everything was fine.
I only had about 6 students when the class started because the 11th graders were taking a writing test.
I had the students to work in groups and prepare some information about cultural diversity but the writing test put a damper on them presenting the information while Jennifer was there.I proceeded with my lecture, discussion about cultural diversity with the 6 students that initially came to class. As the remainder of the class strolled in about 1/2 before the end, I showed a video about the subject. The video was not a part of my lesson plan but it was a way for me to improvise and use the remainder of the class period. Just be yourself. I had butterflies on Wednesday but on Thursday during the observation ,I felt relaxed. It was truly a blessing to have only a few students initially and being able to carry out my lesson plan. So don't "SWEAT IT ". Jennifer was great. Take care.

I would like to say that we do not come in to "slam-dunk" you. We are there to help you become master teachers, and we love doing that. You'll enjoy your time with Jennifer and learn from her. Dr. J
ReplyDeleteThank you Jessie, Tracy, Julia, and Dr. Burns!!! I appreciate all your kind words. Yes, Tracy, I am praying for you, too! And Esther. And all of us! :)
ReplyDeleteJulia, thank you so much. I am so glad the observation went well. Yes, there are so many interruptions with various testing going on. I'm happy to hear everything went well in spite of the writing test! :)
