One thing that has helped me is to use a couple of upper classmen (seniors), that I can trust to help out with some of the management and questions. These seniors know how to edit and answer questions regarding equipment usage. I find it impossible to answer all the questions in my lower level classes. A couple of level 3 & 4 students have been placed in the lab to help me out. In my split class, which has 15 level 3 & 4's and 15 level 2's, I have to depend on leadership to make the classroom successful. I gave job titles to the seniors and they are graded according to their job performances. I have a lab manager, studio manager and an equipment manager. I relay to these guys and gals expectations to fulfill for their grades. This helps tremendously, as we broadcasting teachers are pulled in a hundred directions. Maybe I can borrow your skates sometime ! Because my classroom is so big and we do so many hands on sctivity for my introduction classes they think it's play time although they are receiving grades for their activity.

One thing I did was to give out my own progress reports so they can actually see their hands on activity grades in the class many of my students asked me how did I get this grade and I explained to them, because of the quality of hands on work they did this was their grade. I try to make all my students participate in these activities once they see their grades and this want be actually fun time for them but serious work I have no further problems.Vincenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00358002169603460836noreply@blogger.com
