However, this Friday I fully wanted to go to school, but a side of me wanted ONE MORE SNOWDAY to solidify the week outage, as a whole.

Once I got the call I was actually in a bit of shell shock, if you will. That idea that two full weeks of instructional hours, and I mean HOURS, were lost to the previous two snowmageddons, left me with a bad taste in my mouth,

We are so behind in work now, and the knowledge now that only a FEW instructional days will be added to the rest of the Fiscal calendar, that leaves me knowing my students will not have as much official time in my presence than I would actually like.

I did prep on Monday for this ordeal ahead of time, doing all of my lectured lessons as I felt needed, and of course posted instructional videos as well. However, no matter how you look at it, flipped classroom or not, in the end that quality in-teacher instructional time has been lost forever. It is very difficult to get everything done when you work all day and coach, so this time allowed me to grade papers, enter grades, and work on future lesson plans. In addition, it allowed me time to rest and relax which I think is essential to keep from losing our minds! No matter how much we love our jobs, we all need a break every now and then. The unexpected ones are just an extra bonus! Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11407131858618914963noreply@blogger.com
