But as of yesterday I had a great example of what they deal with behind the scenes. i had a student reading a letter in class from his girlfriend so i asked for it. I was joking when i said is it a love letter? He said that it was half and half. I said "huh"? He said it's that and a suicide letter. I thought he was lying till I read the letter. They apparently were fighting and she wrote him a letter. it went from i love you to I'd rather just be dead. I knew i had to keep the letter. I called the counselor and he came down, read the letter, and said he would handle it through protocal.
