"What is the most important thing I have learned about teaching and learning?"
The most important thing I've learned about teaching and learning is organization. When I first started teaching before NTI I was literally figuring out what I was going to be teaching on a daily basis. A lot of the times as I'm driving to work which takes 45 minutes. The lesson plan project we did over the summer really has enlightened me to how organization and technique really help in gaining the students attention. This year has been a lot smoother and productive than when I took over last year. So in retrospect the learning I gained at NTI enabled me to improve as a teacher which in turn made it a better learning experience for my students.
In working with you this past semester it appears that you are on the right path as a great teacher. I can't tell you how beneficial this course is. If there was a way that we could take
ReplyDeletethis class before stepping into the class room would be better. But the experience we bring
helps develop us as teachers. You'll be fine
