After taking the NTI class, there are numerous strategies
that I have implemented; but my favorite so far is the set induction. By
implementing the set induction, I have found a way to grab the kids’ attention
before getting into the lesson. I tend to show the children a video, object or
ask a rigorous question that leads into the lesson. For example, I taught the
children a lesson about awareness and being aware of all of the graphic design
products that we encounter everyday (clothing, billboards, advertisements,
etc.). As a set induction I used the
following video and it really engaged the children before starting the lesson:
