Interview
I think that this assignment has the potential to impact in a number of ways what happens in our programs as well as students lives. First and foremost, I think it will increase the collaboration between the counseling staff and me regarding the best interest of students who are currently in the healthcare science program. Secondly, with a greater understanding of the counseling department’s mission and what services they provide I will be more proactive and less reactive to student’s social, emotional, career, and academic needs. Thirdly, I think students will benefit directly from the collaboration and proactive approach by receiving appropriate, timely, effective interventions that will impact their overall academic performance and future career goals. Lastly, I think it will give me an opportunity to share with the counseling department about the healthcare science program and the advantages it offers to students who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare.
Excellent Post. I was able to conduct my interview this past week and from the knowledge I gained, you have an excellent understanding. By increasing the communication between your program and the counseler should be a win for the students and you. You will have students that are interested in the program. The interview certainly improved my knowledge and awareness.
