I just felt it was time to get out. The moral at the department I was at was low. We hadnt had a raise in years and people were rapidly leaving. They were not hiring to fill the vacancies and our work just kept getting more and more and no improvement was in sight. This job came open and I felt it was right.
Ill resign my contract this year because I love dealing most of the kids and I get to be home with my family now than I did when I was in law enforcement.
Perry,
ReplyDeleteI still police part-time just to keep my certification up. I love going home at night. I like knowing I work day shift only and I love the kids.
Perry, the worst time I can remember on the job was when moral was low. Moral is what can make or break a business.
ReplyDeleteI here ya.Getting off at 3:30 everyday and having the time to spend with your family is great.I think I will probably begin to work some on weekends and during the summer to also keep my ford certs. up to date.
ReplyDeleteTalk about low moral - part of the reason I left APD was the illegal element that is now becoming uncovered. Our police chief left New Orleans PD a complete mess and full of criminal officers - he is doing the same year in Atlanta. The timing was perfect for me and for all the same reason as yours.
