Ditto!
Connie brought up a concern that I'm sure has affected everyone! Cell phones, I-pods etc.! They should be banned from school! Any student found with one should be met with swift action! I'm constantly, constantly and more constantly having to speak to my kids about this. They don't realize it but their minds are actually in competition with these things! There should be a state-wide ban! If you agree with me then I think we should approach the DOE about this. These things are affecting our kids ability to learn, in turn affecting grades, AYP, testing scores, etc., etc., etc.! As Ty would say on Extreme Home Improvement, "Let's do iiiiiit"!
The most proactive anti-cell measure I have seen is at Paulding High School. They have a cloaking device in the school that disrupts the cell phone's signal. In other words your cell phone will not work in the building. Cool!!!
ReplyDeleteGary, I hadn't heard about the cloaking device at Paulding High School. I think we need that in ALL schools. Cell phones are REALLY a problem!
ReplyDeleteDwayne, I had to take another cell phone away from a kid today. He was sitting right in front of me, his cell phone vibrated so he proceeded to answer it! He couldn't believe I was taking it away from him and writing it up too!
